To whom it may concern:

This correspondence is in regards to Sanisa Mendoza, a stellar University of Arizona Bachelor of Science
nursing student graduating May 2020. I am honored to write this letter of recommendation for Sanisa, a
competitive applicant for a new graduate registered nurse position. I had the pleasure to work with Sanisa
during the spring 2019 semester as she was a clinical and didactic student in NURS 366 “Acute and
Chronic Illness Management”. I have been impressed with Sanisa’s clinical abilities as well as her
motivation to succeed at the next level.

Ms. Mendoza demonstrated professionalism, competency, accountability, and leadership during the
pediatric clinical rotation at Tucson Medical Center (TMC) as well as completed 180 preceptor hours at
the Veteran’s Hospital in Tucson. Sanisa was highly motivated to learn as much as possible from all
disciplines. Sanisa was assertive and not afraid to ask questions. Ms. Mendoza provided competent
compassionate care for each patient while building prioritization and time management skills. Sanisa’s
communication skills were exceptional as she developed immediate relationships with children, family
members, and interdisciplinary healthcare providers. In addition, Sanisa’s proficiency in conversational
Spanish was an asset when providing care to diverse populations.

Ms. Mendoza has proven that she can multi-task as she has continued to work while succeeding
academically in the highly competitive rigorous nursing program at the University of Arizona. Not only
has Sanisa maintained a GPA of 3.896, she is graduating with a Spanish Minor. While working as a
server in the restaurant business Sanisa developed a passion for making a difference in the health and
well-being of others. Sanisa also demonstrated a distinguished level of service and leadership to others as
she provided community service hours assisting with fundraising events for Pima County and CASA and
organized mission trips for Hope4Kids International. Ms. Mendoza has been a volunteer as well for
professional student organizations: Student Nurses at the University of Arizona (SNUA), Professional
Achievements in Nursing (PAIN), and Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. During this time Sanisa has
strengthened her interpersonal communication skills as well as participated in philanthropy events.

The University of Arizona, College of Nursing has prepared Sanisa with a strong work ethic to succeed in
a fast-paced environment and learn at the next level. Sanisa indicates a strong passion to serve others and
is ready for the challenge. Without hesitation, I highly recommend Sanisa Mendoza for the new graduate
registered nurse position. Please feel free to contact me for additional information if needed.

Sincerely Yours,

Beverly Bias, MS, RNC-NIC, NTMNC
