Overview

About Pulsation Damper

Pulsation damper also called pulse damper, it is the common device used
to eliminate pipe pulsation and is the product that must be installed in the
metering pump dosing system.
The damper can absorb the pulsation and water hammer generated when
the metering pump and diaphragm pump working.
The damper uses corrosion-resistant diaphragm to isolate the air from
the liquid in the pipeline.
By the pressure of metering pump and the air, the volume of the air in the
chamber is changed, and the pressure is absorbed and released to realize
the function of absorbing the pulsation.

Main Function
● Reduce the damage of the water hammer to the system.
● Reduce the peak of the flow rate fluctuation.
● Protect lines/valves/joints to reduce impact.
● Protect the pump head of the metering pump for extended life.
● Used with back pressure valve, the pulse can be fully absorbed and the
pipeline pulsation can close to zero.
● All dampers are equipped with a pressure gauge that shows the
pressure of the damper during operation.

How to Select the Volume of Disc Style Diaphragm Pulsation Damper

F=The flow per hour of metering pump(Unit L/hr).
R=The number of stroke per minute(Unit spm).
Vmin=F÷60÷R×15（Unit L）
This Vmin is the minimum damper volume that should be selected for this
type of metering pump.It can absorb 90% of the pulsation.
For Example:
Metering pump flow rate——500L/hr，Stroke rate——175 spm
Vmin=500÷60÷175×15=0.7L. The Suitable Damper Model is DP-1.0L.

Airbag Diaphragm Pulsation Damper

About Airbag Pulsation Damper
The airbag diaphragm damper has an airbag inside, and the material of the
airbag is FPM.
The airbag is filled with gas and it has good stretchability.
The pressure at the output of the metering pump will squeeze the airbag to
make the airbag contract. When the metering pump is retracted, the air
inside the airbag releases the force of the air to realize the function of the
pulse being absorbed.
Selecting the right type of airbag damper can absorb more than 90% of the
pulsation.

How to Select the Volume of Airbag Diaphragm Pulsation Damper

F=The flow per hour of metering pump(Unit L/hr).
R=The number of stroke per minute(Unit spm).
Vmin=F÷60÷R×12（Unit L）
This Vmin is the minimum damper volume that should be selected for this
type of metering pump.It can absorb 90% of the pulsation.
For Example:
Metering pump flow rate——500L/hr，Stroke rate——175 spm
Vmin=500÷60÷175×12=0.57L. The Suitable Damper Model is DP-0.6L.

UPVC Cavity Type Pulsation Damper

About Cavity Type Pulsation Damper
The Cavity dampers are cheap and are empty inside the UPVC cavity.
It uses the air in the cavity as a medium.
When the metering pump is working, the air is continuously
compressed-released-compressed-released to achieve the function of
absorbing pulse damping.
When the cavity damper works for about 1 week, the liquid will enter the
cavity until it is full, resulting in the loss of the absorption pulse function.
Therefore, it is necessary to open the damper and discharge the liquid
every week, and it can be operated again.
