Reign Of Terror – 1792- 1793


It was the period of total lawlessness, inflation, vandalism and heavy cheapening of human lives.
It was led by extremists such as Robespierre, Herbert, Marat and Danton.

1st coalition of European countries – 1793- 1797


It comprised of countries such as Britain, Austria, Prussia, Spain and Piedmont.

2nd coalition of European countries against France -1797-1802


It comprised of countries such as Britain, Austria, Russia, Turkey, Portugal and Naples.

Directory Government – 1795- 1799


It was setup according to the new constitution of 1795 which was produced by the convetion.

Napoleon Bonaparte 1769- 1821


Was born on August 15th 1769. He was referred to as “ Napoleon The Great” due to his various foreign
and domestic policies. He’s downfall occurred in 1812 at the Moscow campaign where he was given a
“bloody nose”.
