General Questions:
1. In not more than 250 words, please describe yourself as a person. What are your strengths and areas
of improvement?

I would like to start off by saying I am an ambivert . I like being challenged and the satisfaction that
comes after solving a complex problem and creating meaningful difference is something that I strive
for . I like to start up conversations and have an opinion on almost everything which is fed by my habit
of reading books and articles . I value empathy and compassion equally with logic and practicality

In the three years I have spent in consulting , I have sought to develop a “find a solution” approach to
towards problems . I have learned to perform under tight deadlines and prioritise deliverables . I am
proficient in interacting with executives and advising them , which has translated to me being a concise
communicator . I have grown to appreciate the big picture and expand my knowledge base beyond the
core offerings of my team .

No one is perfect , and I am no exception .My limited experience has not enabled me to effectively
solve conflicts in the workplace which I hope to gain through more experience .Spending majority of
time on the core capabilities of our team limited my knowledge of other verticals of consulting , which
I acted upon by going beyond the ask from the client . Also primarily being an individual contributor ,
delegating work is still relatively new for me .

I would end by saying I am a self-starter and a quick-learner and I would fit well in the fast-paced
learning environment of your firm.

2. What would you like me to know about you that is not there on your CV?(100 words)

I am big believer in improving collaboration through social activities . Hence, I was the go to guy for
all our team activities , be it birthdays , promotion parties or travel trip.
I particularly remember the trekking trip I organised to Kalsubai near Mumbai . Not being a big
trekker myself and the same for a lot of our team members , it really a memorable experience to climb
those narrow steps all the way to the peak, Also the scenic beauty of the place was breath-taking

3. What is something that you are most passionate about? (100 words)

I developed a keen interest in weightlifting and then powerlifting which involves performing three
basic lifts of Squat , Bench Press and the Deadlift. Lifting heavy weight meant I needed to know
about nutrition as well . I read a lot of publication and research around fitness and nutrition . In this
age of obesity, having a base knowledge of nutrients and food habits is a must .

4. What is your single largest achievement so far? Why do you consider it to be your largest
achievement? (100 words)

I think the time I was mentoring two under privileged kids for their engineering exams as part of
Avanti and successfully got them into the college of their choice would be my largest achievement .
Just like me these students were far from home , in a JNU in Pondicherry and I was 2nd year student at
IIT . Having been thought he same process I was able to understand their problems , motivate them
and keep them prepared for the exams.

5. What are your short term and long term objectives? (250 words)

My work experience has centred around Technology consulting - advising, implementing, and
assessing technological initiatives in organizations. After MBA, I plan to move to Management
Consulting where my strong problem-solving and analytical skills combined with management skills
and business knowledge acquired at FMS, will be an asset. I like to work on a variety of problems,
and Management consulting will provide a wide array of business challenges that I strongly desire in
my work. In the long term, I want to be a leader in the arena of technology-driven business solutions,
leading client engagements and pushing boundaries in the industry.

6. Describe any event / situation in your life which has impacted / influenced you significantly. (250
words)
I will go back to 2010 , when I had failed to qualify for IIT JEE after two years of rigorous studies .
The dejection and feeling of sadness were overwhelming. I had two options , either join an NIT or
drop a year to prepare again . I learned the lesson of going the road less travelled that day, when I
chose to drop a year to prepare again . The huge risk and uncertainty of the situation was daunting but
I preserved . In the end I emerged with flying colours and finally an IITian . This experience made me
learn the importance of never giving up , hard work and focus.

7. Have you ever adopted a non-traditional approach to manage a project /situation or to solve a
problem? Explain. (250 words)

In a typical technology consulting engagement, we follow the “waterfall” to deliver solution for all
possible use cases. However, a particular client wanted results quickly to prove the viability of our
solution to the higher management. Hence, I had to move an agile approach which started off with
identifying only use case and trying to automate it . We were successful in it , and used the assets
form this quick win to rapidly scale up the number of use cases automated

8. Describe a situation where you were able to successfully deal with another person(s) with whom
you had a difference of opinion. (250 words)

I had a disagreement while I working with a media client to transform their accounts payable division
through intelligent automation . We had developed an initial solution but had failed to take an input
from an important stakeholder . Hence , our solution was not approved .

I quickly arranged a meeting with him , understood his point of view and the suggestion he had to
improve the solution . I divided the tasks into what I already had created and what needed to be
created . By burning the midnight oil , I was able to overcome this conflict and emerge successful

1. What are your personal goals in life? How would getting into this role help you in your
journey towards your Personal Goals?

2. Why would you like to intern with our company and how do you think you can add value to
our company and to yourself?
. I believe that evidence of my leadership and analytical skills can be seen in my responsibilities
as at PwC, and my commitment to academics.

In my two plus years at PwC, I have delivered value to clients across industries ranging from
Media , Logistics , Pharmaceuticals and Financial Services .Working on multiple end-to-end
implementations of automation technology at client site, I have gained first-hand knowledge of
business analysis , technology infrastructure setup , Agile implementation , process streamlining
and benchmarking on-ground performance.

I am now leading the setup of the global Automation Impact Centre for PwC. I sought this
opportunity to transition myself from an individual contributor to a team leader responsible for
project execution. This project has enhanced my stakeholder management, project governance
and team building skills. It is with these qualities that I believe I am differentiated for this role.

My drive for learning was evident in my undergraduate studies at IIT Madras, where I lead the
International and Alumni Relations team and worked with students from across the globe to
enhance their experience at IIT M. We executed one of its kind festivals to promote inter-
mingling of Indian and foreign students on campus. I also strongly believe in giving back to the
society and during my undergrad I was a mentor to two under privileged kids for helping them in
their education.

My work at PwC and endeavours at IIT Madras attest to my ability to tackle unfamiliar problems
and work independently.

My experience in RPA and analytical problem solving skills are a strong match for this position. I
am a self-starter and a quick-learner and I would fit well in the fast-paced learning environment
of BCG.
