Beat the Heat Summer Swing Golf Tournament


Benefiting the Kendrick Fincher Hydration for Life Foundation

WHAT: Kendrick Fincher Hydration for Life Foundation (KFHFL) will hold its annual Beat the Heat
Summer Swing Golf Tournament fundraiser this summer. All proceeds go to KFHFL to help
raise awareness of the importance of proper hydration and heat illness prevention. The cost
to participate is $400 for a four person team.
WHO: Anyone is encouraged to participate. Attendees include Rhonda Fincher, founder of Kendrick
Fincher Hydration for Life, as well as Sam Pittman, head coach of the University of Arkansas
Razorback football team.
WHERE: Springdale Country Club, 608 W. Lakeview Drive, Springdale, Arkansas, 72764
WHEN: July 13, 2020 - 1 p.m. Tee time
Teams begin warming up on the driving range and putting greens at noon
WHY: The mission of KFHFL is to promote proper hydration and prevent heat illness through
education and supporting activities. Founded by Rhonda Fincher in memory of her 13-year-
old son, Kendrick, who died of complications of heatstroke following a football practice
session, KFHFL desires to expand national awareness and education to save lives. For more

MEDIA INFORMATION:
- A silent auction in the clubhouse features autographed University of Arkansas and Dallas
Cowboys memorabilia.
- Fincher and Pittman will be available for interviews at 12:30 p.m. at the first hole tee box, and
will hit a ceremonial tee shot at 1 p.m.
