BEAT THE HEAT SUMMER SWING GOLF TOURNAMENT

KENDRICK FINCHER HYDRATION FOR LIFE PROMOTES PROPER HYDRATION AND PREVENTION
OF HEAT ILLNESS THROUGH LOCAL GOLF TOURNAMENT

WHAT: Beat the Heat Summer Swing is an annual charity golf tournament benefiting the
Kendrick Fincher Hydration for Life foundation. The cost to compete in a four-person
team is $400. Participants may register online at www.kendrickfincher.org and on-site
registration will be offered the day of the event beginning at 11:30 a.m.

WHEN: The golf tournament will be held Monday, July 12, 1 p.m.

WHY: This event will help raise money for the Kendrick Fincher Hydration for Life foundation
and promote awareness of proper hydration and heat illness prevention. The Kendrick
Fincher Hydration for Life foundation was created in memory of Kendrick Fincher, a
13-year-old boy from Rogers, Arkansas, who passed away from a heat stroke in 1995.

WHO: Rhonda Fincher, founder of Kendrick Fincher Hydration for Life, will be in attendance
along with Sam Pittman, head coach of the University of Arkansas Razorback football
team.

MEDIA OPPORTUNITIES:
❏ Sam Pittman and Rhonda Fincher will be available for interviews at the first hole tee box
at 12:30 p.m.
❏ Participants will begin warm up on the driving range and putting greens at noon
❏ Rhonda Fincher and Sam Pittman will hit the ceremonial tee shots at the first tee hole at
1 p.m.
❏ The event will also feature a silent auction of autographed University of Arkansas and
Dallas Cowboys memorabilia
