1. A current I is following through a square loop of side ‘a’ lying on xy plane in anticlockwise
direction. Calculate the magnetic field at the center of square loop.

2. The magnetic vector potential in a space is given as 𝐴⃗ = −𝑦 𝑖̂ + 2𝑥 𝑗̂. Find out the associated
magnetic field.
3. The magnetic vector potential of a space is given by 𝐴⃗ = 𝑦 2 𝑖̂ + 𝑥 2 𝑗̂. find out the current
density 𝐽⃗ which has generated this 𝐴⃗.
4. A wire of circular cross-section of radius R carries a volume current density 𝐽⃗ = 𝑘𝑟 2 𝑧̂ along
the length of the wire where k is the constant. Calculate the magnetic field at a point r (r < R)
inside the wire.
5. Suppose current I is flowing in following semi-circle with radius R. calculate the magnetic field
at point P which is middle point of diameter (origin).

6. Calculate the magnetic field at a distance z above the center of a circular loop carrying current
I. the radius of the circular loop is R. Use Biot-Savart law.

7. Suppose a current I is following through a wire of radius ‘a’. The current in wire is distributed
in such a way that volume current density (J) is inversely proportional to the distance from its
axis. Find J in terms of I and a.
