1-12-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.


 Stand by attended for departure from Karachi OP-1.
 Work on COP-2 tachometer.

2-12-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.


 Engine room two in number tube lights changed along with holders and starter.
 MGPS low flow was attended and lines were backwashed.
 Turning Gear panel maintenance carried out.

3-12-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.


 GS Compressor intake valve solenoid was found not working, solenoid was overhauled
o-rings and piston lubricated; fitted back and found working satisfactory.
 Galley two in number tube lights and two holders changed.
 Day light signaling lamp charging cable holder was soldered.

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.


 Fish room lines were found chocked, Lines were cleared (work in progress)
 Automatic unloading system (AUS) levels of all separators were found faulty. When
checked the inlet pipes were found air locked, when purged found working satisfactory.
 AUX Boiler # 2 routine maintenance carried out. All smoke lenses, flame eyes and
igniter were cleaned.
 IG blower#2 discharge valve was not showing correct indication in CCR when checked
its limit switch was stuck at one position, it was adjusted. Valve was open/closing
satisfactory and showing correct induction in CCR.
 Stand by attended for arrival at DAS Island.
5-12-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.


 Fish room and vegetable room evaporators were found chocked, gas was charged in
refrigerator, after repair work found working satisfactory.
 Emergency maneuvering side two in number tube lights changed.
 Aux Boiler#1 and IG system routine maintenance carried out.
 Ullages Temperature indictor (UTI) temperatures was reported not working, temperature
calibration was carried out and error was minimized however due to lack of parts further
repair was not possible. Informed C/O for shore assistance.

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.


 Stand by attended for departure from Das Island.
 IG sampling line for O2 analyzer cleared, filter changed and O2 analyzer calibrated.
 Boiler# 01 and #02 igniter, flame eye and smoke lens cleaned.
 Work on fridge.
 Stand by attended for arrival at Ruwais Port.

7-12-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.


 Work on fridge.
 Engine room Emergency escape bulb changed.
 A/E#3 run indication lamp at ECR control panel changed.
 Drinking water pump starter panel maintenance carried out all fixed and moving contacts
renewed. Found working satisfactory.

8-12-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.


 Alpha lubricator pump station 24v control supply was cut off. After inspection found that
low oil pressure transmitter was faulty and its supply was directly connected to 24v
causing various alarms at HMI panel. 24v control supply provided all working
satisfactory. Requisition sent for pressure transmitter.
 Provision refer compressor#2 was put in use due to fault in oil separator of number one
compressor. Return line was found full of icing which was attended accordingly, found
satisfactory after few hours.

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.


 Upper deck store cleaned.
 Provision Refer compressor #2 was not unloading on low suction, Pressure switch setting
was adjusted now working satisfactory.
 Exhaust valve grinding machine was reported not working, when checked its valve to
seat switch was found damaged which was repaired, found working satisfactory.
 COT#3 (S) High level and overfill float switch complete replaced with new one (spare
consumed).

10-12-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.


 Stand by attended for arrival at DAS Island anchor.
 Aux BLR Uptake valve#1 and IG regulating valve limit adjustment carried out. Found
working satisfactory.
 Fire and GS pump motor 440 earth fault received. After repair found working
satisfactory.

11-12-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.


 Elevator cage tube light changed.
 110v earth fault received when checked it was at cuaze mast lights. Lights were found
full of water and wet mud which were attended and found satisfactory.
 UTI was received with no beeping sound. Buzzer was checked and found faulty after
repair work working satisfactory. Handed over to C/Officer.

12-12-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.


 Stand by attended for arrival at DAS Island SPM.
 Drinking water motor’s contactor was found with abnormal sound, when checked
contactor was momentary cut in/cut off at some instants during starting; new contactor
(SN12) and Relay (X2) replaced, found working satisfactory.

13-12-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.


 Spare OF and HL float unit was repaired, magnetic float BM-4, testing rod and float
cushions changed with new spare ones. (spare consumed)
 Air seal valve#1 at IGS solenoid panel was found leak when checked its gaskit was found
broken, which was replaced with new one; found satisfactory.

14-12-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.


 Saturday routine was carried out all alarms as per PMS were checked and found working
satisfactory.
 Solenoid terminal at IGS solenoid valve panel was found leaking, when checked its
gaskit was damaged, which was changed accordingly and found satisfactory.

15-12-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.


 Donkey pump L-MPS 0.5 cable was changed from H-MYPC 2.5 three phase cable, found
working satisfactory.
 Port Side Bilge float was not raising alarm after repair work working satisfactory.
 Outer-pass eight in number bulbs were changed, cover were cleaned and greased.

16-12-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.


 Accommodation AC oil changed, suction side oil filter replaced with new one (spare
consumed) and evaporator side filters cleaned.
 Boiler burning p/p#01 electrical panel maintenance carried out. All moving and fixed
contacts changed, Megger tested found working satisfactory.
17-12-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.


 A/E #03 alarms tested found working satisfactory.
 Hydraulic power pack low pressure alarm tested.
 CFW p/p #01 electrical panel maintenance carried out. All fixed and moving contacts
renewed and Megger tested, found working satisfactory.

18-12-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.


 Main air compressor #01, electrical panel maintenance carried out all moving and fixed
contacts changed Megger tested found working satisfactory.
 Boiler burning p/p#02, electrical panel maintenance carried out. All moving and fixed
contacts changed, Megger tested, found working satisfactory.
 FWD air horn was reported faulty (continuous buzzing). After inspection found plate of
spring for lever was damaged, temporary arrangements have been made working fine
(through magnetic way) informed C/O for changing the plate.

19-12-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.


 A/E #2 LO priming pump abnormal alarm received. After inspection pressure transmitter
found malfunctioning after repair working satisfactory.
 M/E main LO p/p motor starter panel maintenance carried out all moving and fixed
contacts changed and Megger test carried out found working satisfactory.

20-12-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.


 Prov. Refer Plant panel maintenance carried out all moving and fixed contacts changed
with new ones, high discharge and oil pressure trip tested.
 4 in NOS tube lights changed in E/R with starter and holders.

21-12-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.


 E/R fan #04 and #02 starter panel maintenance carried out all moving and fixed contacts
changed and Megger tested found working satisfactory.
 01 in Nos bulb with globe glass changed at gauge glass boiler side.
22-12-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.


 Boiler #01 and #02 igniter, flame eye and smoke lenses cleaned.
 IG sampling line for O2 analyzer cleaned, filter changed with new ones and O2 analyzer
calibrated
 Refer pump motor abnormal sound received after inspection found the sound was from
fan side. Fan tightened working satisfactory. (Aft Stbd side foundation bolt of motor was
missing)

23-12-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.


 Steering gear#1 and Aux BLR F.D Fan motor bearings greased, old grease replaced with
new one (approx 25 gram)
 M/E Scavenge air mist catcher high level alarm was attended. When checked its float was
stuck, which after work; found working satisfactory.
 Vegetable room one in number tube light changed, along with starter.
 Provision refer plant was attended due to coming of fresh provision for all rooms.
 Boiler Port side safeties checked all found working satisfactory.

24-12-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.


 L.O transfer P/P starter panel maintenance carried out all moving and fixed contacts
cleaned; found working satisfactory.
 Provision Vegetable temperatures were stuck on 10.5 when checked its evaporated was
found full of ice which was attended accordingly. Also vegetable room start/stop setting
was adjusted from thermo panel for limited time.
 STBD Boiler Safeties checked all found working satisfactory.
 Engine room 5 in number tube lights changed, 4 with starters and 1 with holders.

25-12-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.


 Workshop grinding machine was reported not working, when checked its on/off toggle
switch was found faulty. When opened contacts were found dirty which were cleaned;
found working satisfactory.
 Spare COT High level and Overfill alarm unit’s floats were opened, testing rods cleaned,
stopper cushion were removed (work in progress)
 A/E#3 alternator filter changed; exciter, stator and rotor were clear for dust with air
blower. Space heater checked found satisfactory.
 Provision vegetable room settings were bought to normal after satisfactory working.

26-12-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.


 Accommodation AC crank case open and cleaned, also suction side oil filter cleaned and
oil renewed. Discharge side dryer was also opened, cleaned and Silica gel renewed. AC
found working satisfactory.
 Spare COT High level and Overfill alarm unit’s floats, float stopper cushion were
replaced with new one and testing rods were cleaned. Found working satisfactory (spare
consumed)
 C-Deck pipe and duct space bulb changed. Found working satisfactory.
 A/E#2 ACB trip (reverse power) checked, found working satisfactory.
 F.O Setting and overflow tanks alarms checked; found working satisfactory.

27-12-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.


 Bottom platform two in number tube lights converted to 588mm from 580mm along with
both holders and starters.
 Upper deck one in number tube light changed, cover found broken from screw side which
was adjusted with lock tight.
 Pump room exhaust fan starter panel maintenance carried out all moving and fixed
contacts cleaned and Megger tested found working satisfactory.
 Life boat drill carried out; both life boats’ batteries charged and found working
satisfactory.
 Work on Accommodation AC condenser and Deck seal.

28-12-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.


 Saturday routine carried out. All critical alarms checked working satisfactory.
 Both Life boat batteries charged.

29-12-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.


 F.O purifier #02 starter panel maintenance carried out.
 L.O purifier #01 starter panel maintenance carried out.

30-12-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.


 A/E#3 ready to start indication LED changed.
 Boiler platform two in number tube lights (588mm) changed along with holders and
starters.
 COT 4P & 4S OF HL float complete units were replaced with repaired spare ones found
working satisfactory. Both faulty units taken back to workshop for repairs.
 Multi-meter measuring probes were found faulty which were repaired accordingly.
 M/E safeties checked all working satisfactory.

31-12-2019

 Daily round and routine mantainence work carried out.


 110v earth fault was coming, when checked it was from one of Engine room flood light,
new holder was changed; light was found working ok and earth fault was found
satisfactory.
 MGPS high voltages attended and strainer cleaned. Found working satisfactory.
