    Instructions

    A. Each group must select one topic to write a report.


    B. Each group report shall not have more than 10000 words in the
    main text. Any additional words will cause marks reduction at the
    discretion of the assessor.
    C. The group report shall be handed on time. Any delay will cause
    marks reduction at the discretion of the assessor.
    D. The dateline for hand-in the group report is on Thursday of the13th
    week

    EACH GROUP SHALL SELECT ONE OF THE FOLLOWING TOPICS. (To be given
    to the student groups at the first of the third week)

    (Written report; CLO4, PO6, PO9, PO11, Total mark = 30)

    (Group presentation; CLO6, PO6, CLO7, PO9, Total mark = 10)

    1. Technological and economic efficiencies in providing service to the public are the
    expected benefits from the privatization of public utilities companies in Malaysia.
    a) Define privatization and identify the government departments and statutory
    bodies that have been privatized
    b) Discuss with examples whether the technological and economic benefits of
    privatization have been achieved.

    2 Write an article (essay) on Methods of Technology Transfer. Give examples for each
    case presented.
    3 Write an article on “Green Technology” and discuss the roles of Engineers in
    promoting it.

    4 "Reduce, Reuse and Recycle" has been proposed repeatedly. How could an
    Engineer contribute to this slogan?

    5 Which is more effective, "Being a creative engineer or being an innovative


    engineer?
