SQL Express 2012 03/2014
This document outlines the steps required to install a SQL Express 2014
instance for use with the Event Notification Module (ENM) or Sequence of
Events Recorder (SER).
In This Document

Installation
The following procedure will walk you through the steps required to correctly install and configure the Microsoft SQL
Express instance that is shipped with your software. The screens and options may differ from the ones in this
manual depending on the specific options or previously installed SQL servers.
Installer Location
The SQL Express Installer is located on the installation media and can be accessed using the path
\setup\SetupSupport\SQLExpress.
Procedure
1. Open Default.htm and click on the correct version of the SQL 2014 Express install depending on the
Windows operation system version.
2. Select Run from the File Download dialog. A second security warning may appear, select Run again.
3. Select “Installation” from the navigation menu to the left of the “SQL Server Installation Center” window.
4. Select “New SQL Server stand-alone installation or add features to an existing installation.”
