Thank you for the opportunity to assess your company and recommend data driven decision
making strategies. The analysis and recommendations below are based on my review of your
company. The analysis below is based on information provided by your staff. Therefore,
our recommendations should be tempered by your knowledge of business realities and your
market. Please let us know if we can answer any questions concerning these
recommendations.

RECOMMENDATION ON KEY STAKEHOLDERS 1

Company Stakeholders Analysis


I was reviewing your company, RGV INC, and I notice that your employees seem to be more

active than the store managers. Why is that? From what I am viewing, the employees seem to be the

key stakeholders of the company. However, I believe it is the store manager’s responsibility to

become the main key stakeholders of the company. It is highly crucial that every manager be involved

during business hours and interacting with their employees to ensure that there is productivity. All
stakeholders need to provide information to improve the organization. Soon, RGV INC, will notice

the growth in sales because of the manager involvement.

RECOMMENDATION ON DATA COLLECTION AND TIMEFRAME 2

KPI Analysis
The products that RGV INC provides should be increasing the volume of sales since

there are variety of products available. Unfortunately, it is my understanding that the company

has not been able to exceed the quarterly goals each year. As an experienced data analysis expert,

I am here to provide data strategies for your company. I recommend that your company, RGV

INC, use KPI’s. KPI’s are used in every organization that needs data to be gathered or collected.

Your company should track the amount of products sold per day. I would recommend tracking

the most popular item, such as the beverages, and track the number of times people go to the

store to purchase drinks. Once the company is aware of this, it will capture what managers need

to know so that they’re able to make strategic objectives. I will also recommend paying close

attention to Quantitative and Qualitative products. Find out why customers are choosing red

cereal boxes over blue cereal boxes and why they insist on buying more than one cereal box. I

also suggest tracking the data for a month to get accurate results. It is questions like these that

need to be answered because it will provide the answers that the company needs to improve its

sales.

Data Collection

Furthermore, it is to my understanding that your company has not been collecting data

the correct way. To make matters easy, you can collect data by using KPI’s as mentioned above.

The data will be stored with using the KPI’s. The KPI’s will help expand the collection of data.

Your company needs to also develop KPQ’s. By doing this, you need to ask questions, and then

determine which ones are relevant. For example, you can develop surveys for customers. In that

survey, you can have questions such as, “What changes can be made in the company, and why?”

Having open ended questions allows customers to think and reflect on their response so that

they’re able to go into depth with the question.

I’m not sure if your company has heard of the 5 step Business process? If you have, I

suggest that your company focuses on the 3rd step, redesign. By redesigning the view of the

company, you can start by eliminating the problem areas. Once the problems have been

eliminated, RGV INC, will start improving on the areas and sales should start increasing

throughout the quarters. What I do recommend is using a data visualization tool. Data

visualization is used to organize data in the form of charts and graphs. If you want to view your

data on a chart, you should be able to see the trend analysis. You have the option of inputting

color onto the charts. By using colors, you will be able to notice the patterns and trends. This will

be easier to interpret and RGV INC will gradually improve on the problem areas.

Data Distribution at RGV INC
Once we have gathered the right data, it is important to distribute it to the other branches

of the company. Above all, it is extremely important that all branches of the company

communicate with each other. A useful tool to communicate is by using a network map. Using

this will provide a smoother and easier communication throughout the company. As I stated

above, you should use data visualization to figure out the distributions that are going directly to

the other branches. By creating a chart, just label the products that are going to be shipped out to

the other branches and track the amount of purchases for that product. I know making a chart

will be a little tricky, but you will definitely see the results that the company has been longing

for. The chart will present the products with a minimum and maximum point, thus providing

trouble- free information. In the 5 step business plan, step #5 should help the company to

monitor the charts. By monitoring the charts, the company will notice that the data visualization

is working. The results from the charts will be presented in a clearer and understandable way. I

hope that with all these new steps, RGV INC will recuperate their lost sales, and start the new

year successfully.

From completing the project, I learned …

This project allowed me to become an experienced data analysis expert. I know

maintaining an organization is challenging, but with knowing the right information should make

a business grow progressively. I learned that it’s important to recognize the real, true key

stakeholders of the company. Knowing your stakeholders, the organization will be able to run at

a productive rate and should be able to see the increase in sales. Also, getting to know your

market is another thing that I learned. You need to ask yourself, “What does the customer want?”

This would be known as the KPQ’s, asking the customer questions to expect the end results.

Above all, it’s important to make sure that the organization reaches an end goal.

Distribution matters a lot. The company needs to know what is going in and what is going out.

Luckily, to make it easier for a company, they are allowed to use Data Visualization. A company

will never go wrong with Data Visualization, it is an effective tool. Also, a manager needs to

know how to develop their own strategies. Strategies will capture the goal and then the manager

will be able to work on it from there. Lastly, KPI’s will help any company who are in need to

track and collect data. That is the only way that an organization can improve. An organization

needs to know the answers, and by obtaining that, it will eventually start to see the improvement

with their sales.
