How to Bowl at Home

By Mrs. Bianchini (with help from Amy)

Step 1: Gather your supplies:

1. You will need between 6-10 bowling pins. Ask your parents for something they
have around the house like plastic cups or empty water bottles.
2. A bowling ball. You could use something like a tennis ball or an orange. It should
be in the shape of a sphere.
3. Someplace to set up like a hallway or across the kitchen.
Step 2: Place the cups or water bottles in a triangle shape at one end of the hall (or
across the room). You want it to point to the other end (where you will be bowling from).
Included are pictures using different supplies. Pick which one works for you.

Step 3: From down the hall (or across the room) you will roll the ball on the floor to
knock your pins down. Roll it - don’t throw it!
Step 4: Get your ball and try again. See how many rolls it takes for you to knock down
all the pins. If you knock down all the pins on the first try, it is called a strike!

Step 5: Set the pins up and play again! Have fun!!!
