Giving drugs that are done by injection under the skin can be done in the left upper arm or 1/3 part

INJECTION TECHNIQUE

Subcutaneous injection is done by injecting a needle at an angle of 45 degrees from the surface of
the skin. The skin should be slightly pinched to keep subcutaneous tissue away from muscle tissue.

The American Diabetes Association recommends that insulin be injected in the same area for one
week at a distance of each injection of 1½ inches [one segment of the finger] with subcutaneous
injection of insulin or just under the skin layer.
