1. Pupils are asked whether they know the places like Tesco, Giant and
Aeon.
2. Pupils are asked based on their opinion, when will these places be
crowded and why.
3. Pupils share their opinions until the words sales and holidays
elicited.
4. Pupils listen to the introduction of the lesson which is notices.

ACTIVITY 1

1. Pupils are shown a non-linear text about 5 different notices.


2. Pupils are nominated to read the notices.
3. Pupils discuss as a class the meaning of each notice.
4. Pupils listen to the explanation of the difficult words in the notices.

ACTIVITY 2
1. Pupils are shown 5 different meanings based on the notices.
2. Pupils are nominated to come forward and match the meaning with
its correct notice.
3. Pupils check and discuss the answers as a class.

ACTIVITY 3
1. Pupils are given Worksheet A.
2. Pupils are asked to read and answer the questions individually.
3. Pupils compare their answers in pairs.
4. Pupils are nominated to share their answers with the class.
5. Pupils check and discuss the answers as a class.

III. POST-LESSON (10 minutes)

ACTIVITY 1
1. Pupils are put in groups of 3.
2. Pupils are instructed to discuss in groups and state 3 ways we can
practice from over spending.
3. Pupils are observed as they discuss with their friends.
4. Pupils are nominated to share with the class their ideas.
5. Pupils check and discuss answers as a class.
