ACTIVITY 1

1. Pupils listen to the explanation of the difficult words: festival,


perform, put on a show, take place, circus, comedy.
2. Pupils are instructed to listen to the audio recording of the guide and
follow silently.
3. Pupils are asked for any difficult words they do not know besides
the words explained earlier.
4. Pupils check and discuss the guide as a class.

ACTIVITY 2
1. Pupils are given Worksheet A.
2. Pupils are asked to read and complete Worksheet A in pairs.
3. Pupils are nominated to share the answers to the class.
4. Pupils check and discuss answers as a class.

ACTIVITY 3
1. Pupils listen to the explanation for Exercise 3.
2. Pupils are asked to read the guide again and answer Exercise 3.
3. Pupils compare answers in pairs.

III. POST-LESSON (20 minutes)

5. Pupils are nominated to share their answers to the class.
6. Pupils listen and discuss the different festivals shared by their
friends.

The whole lesson is recapped.


REFLECTIONS: The lesson was carried out successfully. Overall, about ¾ of the pupils
managed to achieve the lesson objectives.
