At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
a) Identify different types of kitchen tools, equipment and paraphernalia
b) Classify different types of appropriate cleaning tools and equipment
based on their uses

II. Subject Matter


a) Topic: Cookery
b) Lesson: Utilize appropriate kitchen tools, equipment and paraphernalia
c) Materials: PowerPoint Presentation, Laptop/Netbook, Pictures
d) References: Internet

III. Procedures
A. Preparatory Activity
a) Prayer
b) Greetings
c) Classroom Management
d) Checking of Attendance
e) Review the past lesson

B. Motivation
a) Present two different kinds of kitchen
tools/equipment/paraphernalia
b) Ask someone from the class if they are familiar with the kitchen
tools/equipment/paraphernalia
c) Ask if where do they usually see the things in the picture

C. Activity
a) Form the class into two groups
b) For 5 minutes, let the students write the tools, equipment and
paraphernalia that can possible be used in making a cake
c) After 5 minutes, each representative of each group will present
their list

D. Analysis
Ask further questions:
a) What do they feel about the activity?
b) Did they learn something from it?
c) Do they see themselves using it in the future?
E. Abstraction
a) Introduce/Discuss the lesson about the types of kitchen tools,
equipment and paraphernalia
b) Discuss also the appropriate cleaning tools and equipment
based on their uses

F. Application
a) Present pictures of different types of kitchen tools, equipment
and paraphernalia and some cleaning tools and equipment
b) Ask someone from the class to identify it and explain what are
its function/uses

IV. Evaluation
In ¼ sheet of paper enumerate what is asked.
1-10.Types of kitchen tools, equipment and paraphernalia
11-15.Types of cleaning tools and equipment
16-20.The uses of the cleaning tools and equipment in #11-15.

V. Assignment
 Search for a recipe of any kind, list all the kitchen tools, equipment and
paraphernalia being use in it and their uses in cooking the said recipe.
Write it in a 1 whole sheet of paper.
