INTRODUCTION
Filipinos basically are known to have various ethnolinguistic groups that are
native to its country. It was stated that there are more than 175 ethnolinguistic groups
where each has its own unique language, identity, culture and history that sum up the
Filipino culture and community as a whole; a community that is either small or large
social unit that shares something in common, such as norms, religion, values. Thus, Hays
(2008) linked the characteristic of the main bonding forces in Filipino society to family
and the Catholic Church, where Filipinos are known to be religious.
On the land of Mindanao, part of the Metropolitan Davao area and is two
kilometers away from Davao City, a city was created through Republic Act No. 8471 in
January 30, 1998, known as Island Garden City of Samal or sometimes called IGaCOS,
which is a 4th class city in the province of Davao del Norte, Philippines. It has been
recognized to have one of the best beaches in the Philippines. Its beautiful mountain
landscape, crystal clear waters, and fine white sand are a perfect combination for people

of worship, “the reincarnation of Diyos Amahan [God the Father]” (Manforte, 2017). Not
much was known about this town until Hilario Moncado established the religious sect
called the Filipino Crusaders World Army (FCWA).
This was anchored to Camp 23, Barangay Limao which is situated at
approximately 7.0872, 125.6752, in the island of Samal wherein elevation at these
coordinates is estimated at 70.3 meters or 230.6 feet above mean sea level. Additionally,
Limao was known as the ‘Home of the Vegetarian Moncadians’ where it is particularly
noted for eating only raw and uncooked food, no fish and no meat. In the Limao
settlement, followers were observed to have no stoves for cooking, although some
domiciles had some kind of dirty kitchen for boiling water.
However, past years of the barangay was disregarded by many. Its beauty was
