Deoxyribonucleic acid, also known as DNA, is a molecule that
contains our instructions for making proteins. It is located inside
the nucleus of our cells. DNA is made up of building blocks called nucleic acids. Each nucleic acid contains a 5 carbon sugar, a phosphate group and a nitrogen base. There are 4 different nitrogen bases in DNA: adenine which pairs with thymine, and there is guanine which pairs with cytosine.
