Academic support for 7th and 8th grade students to help
build the knowledge and skills needed to improve school
work to help them succeed in their academic career.

Group Learning Objectives:

Enhance their self-efficacy by exploring their strengths
and reflecting on their goal progress asmeasured by
pre/post-test and weekly reflections.
Understand the various strategies and skills for
learning, studying, and time management.
Gain the skills for academic, college, and/or career
success

Over the course of six sessions, students learn:

Understanding Academic Standing
Learning Styles
Goal Setting
Time management and organization
Strategies for Learning and Study skills

Plan for Evaluation:

Baseline Data: The first week of group, grades, and the
number of missing assignments will be recorded.
Progress Evaluation: Pre/Post-test to assess attitudes,
knowledge, and skills; weekly self-reflections; grades
and missing assignments
