I. Passed Higher Secondary Examination under the Board of Secondary Education, West Bengal in
1965 from the Scottish Church Collegiate School, Calcutta in First Division.
II. Graduated in Mechanical Engineering from Bengal Engineering College, Sibpore under
Calcutta University in 1970. Obtained the Calcutta University Gold Medal in 1970
for standing First in order of merit in the Bachelor of. Mechanical Engineering
Examinations.
III. Graduateship in Operational Research (two years part-time postgraduate Management
Science diploma) in 1975 from the Operational Research Society of India with
Distinction. Stood first in order of merit in the final examinations.
IV. Fellow Member (FICWA M/5756) of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India.
Obtained the G. D. Mundhara Gold Medal from ICWAI in 1982. Completed the Final
examination of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India in 1982.
