Family culture Writing
Everywhere I go I try to spread my culture. I was born and raised in Guatemala and
basically, I still having all my culture in my veins. I’m super proud of where I came from and
what my country has give me. I studied in Guatemala from pre-K until 7th grade, and I felt
that in some how the education in Guatemala was better when it came from pre-k until high
school, I felt like the education in that grades are very slow and they are so behind than in
Guatemala. But when it came to college or university United States it is the best to came
and studying.

My family is very religious, and they are from many religious from Catholic to
Jehovah's Witnesses. I’m not into religion right now but I believe in God. The reason why
I’m not practicing any religion is because I haven’t found any religion where I felt
comfortable and because of the mentality and my sexual orientation. So that affect a lot of
things in the way that people see me. After all I always try to don’t hear about what other
people thinks about me.
In my family it is an alcoholic background and there is a background of smoking.
So, there is a possibility that the chain continues with my brother and I. and that is true
because my brother smoke. I know that there are still people in my family that still drinking.
Also, in my fiancé used to drink so both of us had a background of alcoholism so both of us
know that we don’t want that for our kids and will make sure that they do not follow the steps
of our family.
