Earthquake analysis of Petronas towers

Abstract

Seismic analysis study includes the connectivity of the towers with the bracing between the two
towers, as they act as the connectivity to reduce sway due to earthquake activity, which involves
waves generated beneath the earth surface causing the structure to collapse due to high magnitude
earthquake, whereas in the towers, the Petronas towers act as elastic structure, reducing risk of
collapse due to sway property, [et al]
