MY ROLE IN THIS COMPETITION
My role was to coach Team Emerald and get them ready for the game. Prior to the
competition we practiced every week on lunchtimes. I made sure to remind the
members that we had practice so they never missed any.

16
REFLECTION

DAY 1
EMERALD VS SAPPHIRE
Today is the first day of our interschool competition for our sba. As I was the
coach of Emerald I had to organise the players and get them ready for the game.
The name of our team is Emerald and it represents green. All players came out in
their green jerseys and black track pants. This was my first time being a coach so I
was very excited that I was given the oppourtunity to coach this team. The game
started at 11: 45 am with a 5 minute break at halftime. During halftime I switched
one of the players because our team had problems scoring a goal. The ended in
favour of sapphire, with their team getting 2 goals and my team getting NIL. The

17
players were very sad that they didn't win but I assured them that they played very
well due to the weeks of training.
DAY 2
DIAMOND VS AMETHYST
Today is the second day of our competition, Diamond retrieved the ball after the
toss. A was almost given to one of the members of team diamond. During the first
half of the game no goals were scored by neither teams. In the second half of the
game both teams played aggresively as they wanted to score the most goals. The
game ended in team diamond scoring 2 goals and winning the game.
DAY 3
Today is the last day of our competition, Team Diamond got the ball first after the
ball toss. Diamond scored a goal within the first 2 & a half minutes. In the second
half of the game , a member of team diamond held the ball with their hands and
team sapphire was given a free kick. They failed to score the goal. The game ended
in favour diamond. They won the entire tournament.
