● Hidden Disability: disabilities that are not immediately
apparent
● Visible Disability: disabilities that are immediately
apparent

truth about a person or group
● Prejudice: is an opinion, prejudgment or attitude about
a group or its individual members.
● Discrimination: is behavior that treats people unequally
because of their group memberships.

Washington created "Project Implicit" to develop Hidden Bias Tests—called
Implicit Association Tests, or IATs, in the academic world—to measure
unconscious bias.
