– story of Majid Alam, a student of CADD Centre, Yelahanka, Bangalore
Ashok Kumar Majid Alam Suraj
Majid Alam may not be able to speak or hear but
his creative skills are more capable of showing
him the right directions. Majid Alam, a
deferentially abled student of CADD Centre,
Yelahanka, Bangalore, is without doubt one of
the most outstanding students!
After Majid left school, his father, a consultant,
wanted him to learn AutoCAD so that he could
be placed in a drafting job through his father's
contacts. He approached CADD Centre and
enquired about the possibilities. “Knowing that
Majid had earlier enrolled in another private
training institute, and did nothing for 4 months,
me and my faculty decided to meet him before
we registered him. It took six months for us to
teach him AutoCAD; he slowly started coping,”
said Mr. Ashok Kumar, Centre Head, Yelahanka.
Majid, who was a shy and sensitive person
during initial days, soon became very popular
among classmates and faculty. He got over his
shyness and started enjoying his time at the
center. His teacher and classmates were
impressed by his work and showed great
interest in helping him learn the tool.
