IMPORTANT DATES

class play!

auditorium

 December 23rd- Start of winter break
 HAVE A SAFE AND HAPPY HOLIDAY
BREAK!
 Please send your child in with
warm winter coats, hats and
mittens! We will still go outside for
recess as long as the temperature
is not below 20 degrees!
 Please be sure to sign your child’s
agenda book at the end of each week to
be checked on Mondays! My goal is to
include parents in their child’s education
and be sure they know where they are
in the class! Thank you!
ACADEMICS
 Math: We will be working on reading a
calendar and what the important of knowing
how to read a calendar is! We will also be
working to learn patterns with different
colors and shapes!
 Up next in math is using our knowledge of
patterns to identify things that do not belong
and sorting items by size, color, numbers,
etc.
 Literacy: We will be working on identifying
our vocabulary words in books we will read
throughout the month. Each student will
also be creating their own picture book
throughout the next few weeks which will be
sent home for parents to view!
 Up next in literacy we will be working on
following multi-step directions and applying
them into our classroom!
 Students should be working on reading
after school. Please fill out their book logs
accordingly. If all students read at least 5
books each by the end of winter break, we
will have a celebratory pizza party in
January!
