ICVHE is an annual international scientific conference hosted by Vocational Higher Education Program of
Universitas Indonesia. It is intended as a medium for all scholars and practitioners to discuss and update with the
current issues on vocational education and professional practices in today’s working environment. This year, the
theme that will be highlighted in the 5th ICVHE 2020 is “Empowering Quality of Technical and Vocational
Education and Training (TVET) to the World Class Standard” . The theme is brought in line with the consideration
to contribute and create superior vocational human capital that can work in digital savvy environment while at
the same time maintaining the sustainability of our planets as the basic requirement in the near future.

Last year, the 4th ICVHE 2019 was attended by 200 representatives from 4 (four) countries and from various fields
of education, research, public institutions, and organizations. This 5th ICVHE 2020 is expected to be attended by
more than 200 international scholars and practitioners to exchange their ideas and sharing knowledge about the
challenges in vocational education and global industry to prepare world class standard human capitals.

The 5th ICVHE 2020 will be held in Kuala Lumpur City Center, Malaysia, on August 11-13, 2020. Beside
collaborating with Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia as the main co-host, ICVHE also work together with
international and local universities as follow: Central Queensland University Australia, National Yunlin University
of Science and Technology, Universitas Sam Ratulangi, and many more. With this proposal, we would like to invite

ABOUT THE 5th ICVHE 2020

ICVHE aims to be a respected i n t e r n a t i o n a l forum with aims to discuss the recent

improvement and challenges on c u r r e n t a n d f u t u r e Vocational Education.

The conference was initiated in 2016 and has been intended to become a discussion
forum to disseminate vocational and applied researches and insights , especially in field
of administrative, business information, technology, health science, and social
humanities. The 5th ICVHE 2020 is related in finding best solutions to create superior vocational
human capitals who are adept in current dynamic and disruptive environment.

The 5th ICVHE 2020 is addressed to national and international experts from universities,
institutions, organizations, business and other agencies, that will be held in KLCC - Kuala
Lumpur, Malaysia, from August 11th to 13th, 2020.

There are seven sub themes brought to this conference as follows:
1. Future Ready TVET Curricula: POWER UP! How to Embed, Design, Align your TVET Programs
2. TVET Best Practices of Pedagogical and Instructional Design (article related to WBL,
PBL, WIL and etc)
3. Best Practices of Industrial Partnership between Industry and Training Institution for
TVET Program (article related to industrial involvement or engagement, governance, attitude,
motivation in delivering technical and vocational program such as Dual Training System and
etc)
4. Future of TVET Graduates: Developing Talent for Industry 4.0 (article about skills
requirement for IR 4.0 and etc)
5. Greening TVET for Sustainable Development (article related to Green Technology, Green
Skills, Green Environment and etc)
6. TVET Innovations: Using Technology for Quality Product Design (article related to the
new process of delivering and produce product or service and etc; example; using Digital
Technology to Develop New Markets in Tourism)
7. TVET for Quality of Life and Preserving Local Wisdom (articles related to Health,
Business, Culture, Human Interaction, and other related issues)
