Holidays on Family

We began (started) the holidays the first days of January of 2014. We have not chosen a destination so we
done the suitcases and at that moment, we decided to travel at the northwest of Argentina. The journey
included the provinces of Salta and Jujuy.

We left of Resistencia at 3:00 o’clock; we arrived to Salta at 0:00 hs. We searched the recommended hotel and
we rested a moment, then we went out to dinner.

We dined a traditional food, the restaurant was very pretty and it had artists.

Province of Salta

The city is beautiful, I believe that is bigger than Resistencia city. I saw many foreign tourists.

We toured different place, for example the landscape of village of San Lorenzo or the dike of Cabra Corral. The
landscape is incomparable, it is simply beautiful.

The weather is comfortable, it is less hot than here. At the night (on Summer) the temperature is around from
16 ºC to 23 ºC. The people does not use air conditioner during at night, it isn’t necessary.

The offer gastronomic is very good, it is large and many plates use regional products. For example: corn, bean,
kidney bean, chili and other vegetables.

I could speak for many times, but I want to dedicate some words to the province of Jujuy.

Province of Jujuy

The San Salvador city is beautiful, similar to the Salta city, also it lives for the tourism. However, I perceived a
community poorest, mainly on the suburbs.

The landscape of the Puna is imposing (grand), it has not comparison (or there is no comparison?). Its
population is ancestral, they look down (descent) from Inca town. They are short, black hair, cheek pink
(burned by the hostile weather).

Something for underline is the roof of the houses. They use a plant of the place and mix it with ground and
stone. They said me that good for the winter.
The height was a problem (issue), we needed air and hear were covered. We knew that to drink coca tea help,
also we ate garlic candy.

Return

The jurney was very long, I drove all time. When we arrived to house, we slept two days.

In the end, holidays were short.
