Child Profiling
Task Description:
One of the major roles of the teacher is to know their learners. Child profiling is a
comprehensive summary of the child’s life history, current function and special needs. It
creates a history the child may review with their child preparation worker, independent living
worker, resource, and kinship. The profile assists in identifying connections and supports for
the child by reviewing past and existing relationships. A detailed description of the contents
of a child profile and the required timelines for its completion can be gathered through
different tools.
Objective:
1. Create a comprehensive child profile that contains important and essential information
that could help teachers to assist and provide intervention for the child.
Procedures:
1. Read and study the child profiling checklist provided by your instructor.
2. Select one participant (ages 5-15 years old). You can select from your siblings,
nephews, and nieces as your participant.
3. Utilize the communication letter and informed consent to ask permission from your
participant.
4. After completing the checklist, analyze the gathered data and create a comprehensive
profile of the participant
5. There are parts of the checklist that you need to perform or let the participant do to
determine whether it is manifested or not. You may also ask from parents, especially
things that is observable at home. However, it would be better if you let the
participant perform especially in the academics and motor skills.
6. Follow the format on child profiling.
NOTE: Your child profile is limited only for 4 or more pages. Arial 11, 1-inch margin all
sides, 1.15 spacing, A4 size. It should be sent on google classroom. In sending your output,
