What are seaweed baths?

Seaweed baths are a traditional marine cure therapy, in fact the only therapy indigenous to Ireland.
Seaweed naturally absorbs its nourishment from the sea. As a result, seaweed contains countless minerals,
vitamins and beneficial ingredients in high concentrations.
When seaweed is steamed it produces amazing luxurious oils. These oils (complex polysaccharides, proteins,
minerals and vitamins) are naturally suspended in the water. As heat has opened the skin’s pores, these oils
are readily absorbed.
Seaweed baths have been a great attraction for years, often used as a way of relaxing, relieving pain and in
more modern times as a great way to unwind and de-stress.
Seaweed baths act as an amazing conditioning agent for the skin and hair. They are also used as a
treatment for cellulite and have anti-aging capabilities.
The use of seaweed in bath has an amazing detoxification for the body. Quite simply the bath is a large

DESCRIPTION
Use seaweed for two days in a row in your bath (25 – 35 min). When place it in the water make sure you have a hot bath
to activate ingredients. Later on you can cool down the water a bit in order to be comfortable for you. Ideally you would
have a good sweat in the bath, which you need to finish with a cool shower at the end, in order to close your poles and
seal the ingredients in the body.

USAGE OF YOUR SEAWEED

1. Place your seaweed leafs into your hot bath, with the sea salt in the plastic bag. Leave it for about 10 -15
minutes.
2. Get into the bath for 20 – 25 minutes. While in the bath, DO NOT use any other chemicals, such as shower gel,
soap, shampoo.
3. After your treatment take a cold shower to seal your pores.
4. Place the seaweed into a separate container (bucket) and add the sea salt to it
This will guarantee that you will be able to use the seaweed leaf on the next day.
