Instructions on how to access Live chat

In order to provide you with the information you need, you will have to contact an Information
& Referral Specialist (IRS) via Live Chat. The Live Chat option is available at the Top Left Corner
when you log-in to your Next Stop Canada account.

When the Live Chat button is Green, it indicates that an IRS is


available to chat with you.

When the Live Chat button is Red it indicates that all Information
& Referral Specialists (IRS) are off-line. You can also ask any
questions in the Topics Forum, or return to the live chat at a later
time when an IRS is available.

While speaking to an Information & Referral Specialist (IRS), feel free to ask any questions you
may have regarding settlement in Canada. The IRS will provide you with answers and may ask
you questions in order to assess additional needs.

If you would like to access your chat history in the future, click the “save” button located on the
top left corner of the chat window to save the conversation to your computer.

The IRS will prepare your personalized settlement plan for you after chatting with you. You’ll be
able to view your settlement plan on My Plan tab. There you’ll find summarization of all
information provided via live chat.

If there’s any change to your situation or if you need more information, you can always chat with
an IRS or leave your questions in the Topics Forum.
