Q3) My Favourite Festival
1) Diwali
My favourite festival is Diwali. It is celebrated all over the world. It is called the
festival of lights. It is a festival of joy and happiness. People buy lots of crackers and
sweets during this festival. They wear new clothes They prepare sweets and delicious
food. They offer prayers by visiting temples. People decorate their homes by lighting
lamps. I like this festival very much.

2) Eid –ul - fitr

My favourite festival is Eid. It is celebrated all over the world. Eid is known as
happiness, enjoyment, celebration and feast. Fitr is known as breaking or ending the fast.
Fasting in the month of Ramadan purifies the soul. People do not drink or eat anything
from sunrise to sunset. They get up in the morning, take bath, wear new clothes and offer
prayers by going to the mosque. They cook delicious dishes. I like this festival very
much.
3) Christmas
My favourite festival is Christmas. It is celebrated all over the world on 25th
December. People decorate Christmas tree with bells and stars, exchange gifts and cards.
They eat special dinner called the feast and Christmas cake. I love Christmas because we
get lots of gifts from Santa Claus who visit houses at midnight. People wish merry
Christmas to their family and friends. I like this festival very much.
