Describe an inspiring friend/family member/teacher and explain how and why s/he has
inspired you.

THE PERSON WHO I ADMIRE MOST

If I had a chance to make someone immortal, there is no doubt that the person I would choose would
be my high school teacher, Arzu Bucaklıoğlu. She has made such a strong impression on me that I
consider her the most inspiring person in the world. Therefore, I am extremely fortunate that I have
such an admirable teacher.

My teacher, who is in her early forties, has a perfect appearance despite her old age. She has an
oval face, in addition to having freckles on her hollow cheeks. Her almond-shaped hazel eyes are
seen so compassionate that they give me courage. Whenever she laughs with her large, full lips, her
eyes twinkle with amusement, too. Also, her long and lustrous black hair shines brightly as if there
are billions of stars on her hair. When she walks, her cascading hair waves like a sea. My teacher is a
small-boned person, as well as being broad-shouldered. Since she prefers stylish and modern clothes
to wear, she is usually dressed in colorful velvet dresses and glamorous high heels. Besides, she looks
younger when she wraps a muffler. Thus, it seems to me that my teacher is a fashionably dressed
woman.

My teacher’s engaging personality is the main reason why I admire her so much. She possesses the
qualities required to be a good teacher. For example, she is erudite, enormously warm and shows
deference to students. Moreover, my teacher is so patient that she explains the same subject again
and again without being bored to make it easier to be understood by students when they do not fully
comprehend it. As a result of her light-hearted personality, nobody hesitates about asking lots of
questions about the subject. The reason students consult her whenever they have some difficulties is
that my teacher is a very friendly person and she is not a despot. Since she treats all her students as
equal, the students do not envy each other. Thanks to that, she makes learning more enjoyable and
lessons give students more pleasure. My teacher is always circumspect when dealing with issues,
therefore, she never makes a mistake about calculating students’ marks, which is highly appreciated
by students.

My teacher had lived with her aunt and cousin in İstanbul until she married a man 2 years ago. She
has a strong feeling of affection for children, however, she has no child yet. So, she has abundant
opportunities for enjoying. She goes to concerts, theatres, picnics, and parties with her husband. Due
to following a strict vegan diet, my teacher does not consume any animal products at all. My teacher
is a very avid reader, for this reason, there is at least one bookshelf in each room of her house.
Additionally, she is quite good at drawing pictures and doing sports regularly.

Briefly, my dear teacher has given me a whole new perspective on life. Her personality, energy, and
joy of living have made me stronger than I have ever been. Consequently, the place taken by her in
my heart is different from any others’. She has become such an amazing role model for me that I
want to be a qualified teacher and a venerable person like her.
