Assalamu’alaikum Wr.

wb

Good morning to all teachers and jury present in this room and also my dear friends. Before I
start, first of all let’s praise the blessing of God Almighty because of his grace we can all gather
together on this day with a good health. And I also would like to express my gratitude to Al-
Ittihadiyah Islamic Junior Highschool for giving me the opportunity to be able to deliver this
speech.

Dear teachers and friends, today I will discuss about teachers and how they inspire me in the
recent times. For years I’ve always thought that teachers are people that makes our life harder,
they gave us tons of assignments, homeworks, and school projects. I often say to myself “why
do they keep giving me a hard time? I just want to have a leisure time and play with my friends”
atleast until I met a honorary teacher teaching us while our Science class teacher was away for
some time.

She is a kind and hardworking teacher, she teaches us the best she can and I always get
pumped up whenever she was teaching us, but alot of my classmates are starting to being
disrespectful to her, they would often to not pay any attention while she was explaining, being
loud, and make a scene while she was in the class, and of course there are also good students in
my class who would pay attention, but the amount of the bad behaviors just overshadows it.

And as a morally “good” student I would sometime scolds my friend telling them to pay
attention while she was explaining and of course they didn’t cared. But with these annoying
morally “low” students in the class, she still tries her best to teach us, to give us knowledge, to
make us a better person and more that I couldn’t count. It just amazes me by how hardworking
and a good person she is, especially after I found out that a honorary teacher barely earns
enough to fulfill their daily needs

As time pass on, her duty on my school was over and by the time I realized the reason she
teached us was all about the betterment of this generation, she teaches us to be an educated
and well minded person, to be a better generation for years to come. And just like that she
started to inspire me and maybe all of us, we all should be a hardworking, kind person and also
we should never give up no matter how hard the challenge is.
Therefore I as one of the representative from Junior Highschool 6 Pekanbaru, I would like to
express my deepest gratitude for the service and sacrifices of our teachers so far. Thank you for
educating us all, and Thank you for guiding us all.

So that’s the end of my speech. If there is any mistake, I do apologize. Thank you for you
attention, Wassalamualaikum Wr.Wb
