Instructions & Evaluation Norms


Dear students,
As a part of your study, you need to carry out capstone – (project) in Semester III.
Detailed instructions related with the same are given below:

Capstone (Company / Industry) : (To be undertaken during Semester III)

1. Student is expected to prepare a case study / current practices study of any


company / industry focused on the area of their specialization. However, the
area should be narrowed down considering the type of organization and
objectives to be achieved. Please take note that you need to carry out original
research. This is purely based on observation, published work and interviews
with the officials of the concerned company.
2. This project should be in the range of 10000 - 15000 words.
3. The case study of the company should have analytical view with focus on various
initiatives and strategies adopted by the company. You may also like to
incorporate the results achieved by the company.
4. This case should contain a logical flow; an argument; original idea supplemented
with proper referencing. This is a 4 credit course and the marks will be allotted as
per the following criteria.

5. Academic honesty is expected. Directly copying without referencing and your

own input / write up would be taken very seriously. Harvard style of


referencing to be used in this work. This may lead to very serious
consequences. Hence, your writing ability is of utmost importance.
6. The case study and the company should be selected in consultation with the
faculty member allocated to you. Mutually you both can decide on the tone /
scope and coverage of the entire project. The case may be considered for
publication outside or also as a working paper series on SKIPS website.
