 EXPERIENCE OF TEACHING DANCE TO SMALL
CHILDRENS
 A common mistake in teaching classes with small children is to
spend too much time on a single activity.
 For students under six, 5 mintues on any one thing is usually the
maximam.
 Generally, I try not to spend longer 10 or 15 mintues in any one
formation or on any one portion of the class.
 Childrens are easily distracted and their attention wanes quickly.

 Always plan more activities than you have time to include.

 If you see that you are “losing them”, do the kids and yourself a
favor by wrapping it up and moving on to the next activity.
 While teaching dance to the children when I give 150% then they
give 100% of dance activity.
 Small childrens are very good at stretching of their body.
 Small childrens are flexible.
