World is created for benefit of mankind. Allah encourages full exploitation of resources to be used in accordance
with divine guidance.
Whenever comes to you guidance from Me, then whoever follows My guidance, no fear shall come upon them, nor
shall they grieve. (Al-Baqarah: 38)
 Spheres of Focus
Physical Laws (Science) Moral Laws (Deen)
Result Immediate Longer
Tools 1. Mind (for learning) 1. Spirit (for serving)
2. Body (for working) 2. Heart (for caring)
You are the best Ummah raised up for (the benefit of) Whenever comes to you guidance from Me, then
mankind; you order what is right and forbid what is whoever follows My guidance, no fear shall come
wrong and believe in Allah; (Aal-e-Imran: 110) upon them, nor shall they grieve. (Al-Baqarah: 38)
West has fully utilized physical laws (work of Allah) and succeeded in this world whereas we have ignored both
scientific laws (Work of Allah) and Divine Laws (Word of Allah) and miserably failed in this world and likely to
fail in afterlife.
 Quran’s Focus of Human Development

welfare as per Divine Guidance
 Importance Of Knowledge
In the Holy Quran the word al-ilm (‫)علم‬, knowledge, and its derivatives are used more than 780 times.
Word ilm as it occurs in the Quran and Sunnah appears in its generic sense rather than referring
exclusively to religious studies.
1
1. Superiority of Adam (as) (Baqarah: 31) 2. Reading (First Wahi) (Alaq 1-5)
3. Writing (‫( )قلم‬Qalam 1-2) 4. Speaking (Rehman 3-4)
5. Wisdom (Baqarah 269) 6. Accountability (Bani Israel 36)
GROUND REALITY & PITFALLS
1. Disintegration of Life Support System
System of Life (‫)دین اسالم‬
ِ Power Struggle
1 Business  Economic Power (‫)قارونیت‬
2 Politics  Political Power (‫)فرعونیت‬
3 Mysticism  Mystical Power (a‫)روحانیت‬
4 Religion  Religion Power (‫)مذہبی اجارہ داری‬
1. Division of Islam between Interest group (Rome: 31-32)
2. Every group is happy at what they have (-do-)
2. Lost Identity: Ummah at Crossroad
Today we have lost our identity: We are Deobandi, Barelvi, Ahl-e-Hadees, Hanafi, Shafi, Hambali, Shia, etc but …
but not Muslim (in the first place) which is the basic demand of Quran. Similar was the situation during time of
Prophet, everyone (Jews and Christians) were claiming Ibrahimas to be their forefather. Here is Quran’s
verdict on them:
Or do you say, “Abraham and Ismail and Isaac and Jacob and the sons of Isaac were Jews or Christians?” Ask, “Do
you know more than Allah?” (Baqarah: 140)
“Abrahm was neither a Jew nor a Christian. He was a correct Muslim (worshipping Allah alone). And he was not one
of the polytheists.” (Aal-e-Imran 67)
3. Main cause of disintegration of Islam
And We have sent down to you (O Muhammad [saw]) the Book (this Qur'ân) in truth, confirming the Scripture that
came before it and it is safe-guarding. (Maidah: 48)
Fiqah ( ‫)فقه‬ Quran (‫)قرآن‬
Scholarly Interpretations The Criterion
Hadith (‫)حديث‬ Hadith (‫)حديث‬
Hadith used to support the fiqah Practical Model for the Quran
Quran (‫)قرآن‬ Fiqah ( ‫)فقه‬
Merely a book of Fiqah. Scholarly interpretations for issues not covered in the Quran & Hadith which can
vary for individual to individual & timeframe
Our problem is that we blindly follow our forefathers without any knowledge. Till the time we leave blind follow up (Shakshiat
Parasti) and revert to origin (Allah Parasti), we could not get united for fighting looming crisis. (Maulana Azad)
4. Major reasons of Misguidance
(i) Pure Reasoning (‫( )ظن‬Yunus 36 & 39)
Category 1: Atheists/Scientists
But they have denied what their knowledge did not encompass; and of which the real meaning (interpretation)
has not reached them. (Yunus: 39)
Category 2: Modernists
And most of them follow only presumptions; Presumptions are indeed of no use at all against the Truth.
(Yunus: 36)
(ii) Ignorance & blind follow-up (‫)اندهى تقليد‬
“And do not persue that of which you have no knowledge. The ears (for hearing) and the eyes (for seeing) and
the heart (for feelings), all of them shall be questioned.” (Bani Israil: 36)
 Nooh (as) (Mo’aminoon: 23/23-24)
 Saleh (as) (Hood: 11/61-62)
 Ibrahim (as) (Ambiya: 21/52-54)
 Shoaib (as) (Hood: 11/84 & 87)
 Moosa (as) (Yunus: 10/78)
 Muhammad (saw) (Saba: 34/43)
Attitude of every Ummah
“And like that in whichever township We sent a bearer of warning (Prophet) before you, its well-to-do people
said, “We found our fathers following a way, and we will certainly follow in their footsteps.” (Zukhruf 23)
Finally they reach to Stage of indifference
“It is indeed the same for the disbelievers whether you warn them or do not warn them they are not going to
believe.” (Baqarah 6)
5. Consequences of Misguidance
 Internal Rivalry (‫( )باهمى ضد‬Jasia: 45/17)
 Fight with each other (‫( )باهمى جنگ و جدال‬Baqarah: 2/113)
 Wishful thinking (‫( )بغیر عمل نجات کی خوش فہمی‬Maidah: 5/18)
