Display Equipment IE03

Purpose
Use this procedure to Display the details of Equipment created earlier.

Trigger
Perform this procedure when you want to display the details of Equipment.

Prerequisites
● All the details related to Equipments like Equipment Category, Object Type, Functional Location,
Location, Plant Section, Planning plant, Planner Group should be known.
● The equipment should be created before starting this transaction.

Menu Path
Use the following menu path to begin this transaction:
Logistics ➔ Plant Maintenance ➔ Management of Technical Objects ➔ Equipment ➔ Display

IE03

Helpful Hints
● IE03is the SAP transaction code for creating Equipment.
● Equipment is defined as an individual object that is maintained and managed independently in the
system
● Field values can be queried using the F4 help wherever available. This can be done either by placing the
cursor in the field and pressing F4, or by clicking on the match code that appears next to the field.
● You can click on a field and press F1 to view the Field help. This allows you to understand the field and
decide what contents should be entered.

Procedure

Display Equipment

● Enter the T-Code IE03 and click on icon to create Equipment.

● You can also double click on the menu “Display” as highlighted in the below screenshot to create a
Equipment.

SAP Easy Access

● This opens the screen as shown below.

● Display Equipment – Initial screen

● If you know the Equipment Number you can enter the number directly.
● If you do not know the Equipment number, you can click on the icon marked above.
● This opens the screen as shown below.

● In this screen in the field “Technical IdentNo” enter the Technical Identification Number of the
Equipment as shown in the below screen shot.

● Click on the enter icon .

● This displays the Equipment which has the Technical Identification Number entered above.
● This opens the following screen.

● Select the Equipment and click on the enter icon .

● This displays the following screen.

● Click on the enter icon .

● This opens the fields entered for the selected equipment as shown in the below screen shot.

● Click on the tab “Location” as marked in the above screenshot.

● This shows the location details of the selected Equipment as shown in the below screenshot.

● In this screen you can view the details like Location, Plant section, Work center, ABC Indicator, Sort
field, etc.

● Click on the tab “Organization” as marked in the above screenshot. This opens the screen as shown
below.

● In this screen you can view the details Cost Center, Planner group, Main WorkCtr, plant associated with
it and Catalog Profile.

● Click on the tab “Structure” as marked in the above screenshot. This displays the “Structure” details of
the equipment as shown in the following screen.

● In this screen you can view the Functional Location, Superior Ordinate Equipment, Technical
Identification Number etc. Click on the tab “Additional data 1” as marked above. This displays the
warranty details of the Equipment as shown below.

● In this screen you can view the warranty details created earlier.

● Click to return to the SAP Easy Access screen.

● You have completed this transaction.

Result
You have displayed the details of the Equipment.
