Pedagogy

Online Activity I will email the link to the simulation to every one of my students about an hour before
class time. I will then meet with all the students online via Zoom at the same time, for
example 1 pm on a Tuesday. I will discuss the objectives of the activity and teach my
own short lesson on some background of the activity. I will then put the students into
equal groups of 3 or 4, they will click through the lesson with videos, pictures and
questions simultaneously with their groups. I will show them how to share their screen
in case one group member wants to be the preview for the rest and they just follow
along. I will give each group about 20 minutes to get through everything and answer
the questions together. I will then go from group to group to hear their answers and
conversations about the lesson. After this I will bring all the class back together into
one big group and open different parts of the lesson for discussion. Students may
respond verbally by using their mics or with there keyboard by using the
chat/comment feature.
