Project-Based Learning Reflection

Class in which you did the project: Photography

Brief project description:

Created a cooking show with the help of culinary to make the food and we the photographers
would film it.

Your role for the project:

I was a still photographer and took action shots while people were cooking. I also edited and
processed photos into a slideshow.

What did you do, personally, to contribute to the overall project? Be specific!
I helped create the idea for the project and created the still photo slideshow that showed
behind the scenes looks and a different perspective from the video that was made.

What did you learn about yourself in terms of time management, personal responsibility,
problem-solving, collaboration, or other soft skills via this project?
I learned that working together needs a lot of communication and commitment from the
people filming and the people cooking.

If you had an industry expert or mentor who assisted with this project, what are some things that
you learned from this person?
We had our photography teacher Ms. Calson and the culinary teacher Ms. Bogner to help
and assist us thought the project and they mostly guided us with our time management and
getting the necessary resources.

How has this experience helped prepare you for college or careers beyond high school?
It has helped me see how people can work in different groups and communicate together
to create one big project and this I think can be applied in college and in the workplace.
