FREE TIME DISCUSSION
According to the article and video, answer the following questions:

1. Do you feel optimistic about New decade challenges?

Yes, i fell like a optimistic person, it is important to accept the changes
and progress of society, the new times have facilitated the life of the
human being and given him tools to fully meet his needs, with science
and technology we will be able to move forward.
2. Do you have more free time now than when you were a kid?
Probably not, just my time currently should be distributed in different
activities, when I was a child I had no obligations or commitments, just
fun and going to school, but as an adult you must organize your time
better.
3. How do free time activities differ now compared with the past?
My activities in free time before were craubling, I didn't worry about
whether I would need money because I didn't have great obligations,
currently my leisure activities are about rest and relaxation, and to get
away from the world from my chores and struggles of the world.
4. Do you think people had more or less free time in the past?
I think in ancient times people had fewer distractions, so I could say
there was more free time before.
5. What does the idiom “Time is money.” mean? Do you agree with it?
Think time is worth gold, because time doesn't recover, you can't go back
or overtake it. It's a resource that you have to make the most of and that
you have to invest in things that are profitable.
Check the following video:
https://www.bbc.com/reel/video/p080w0dg/why-humanity-should-
embrace-its-inevitable-extinction taking in count the principal topic which
is talking about. Prepare and answer the following questions.

1. What is the main idea you get at first from video?

The main idea of the video is to awaken the consciousness of humanity,
so that they take care of the environment, ecosystems, fauna and flora
and that give more importance to nature and all the natural resources
that it provides us and that are vital to us.
2. Do you agree with the perception of unredeemed humanity? (why)
I agree, because the human being is not a vision to the consequences
that will bring to destroy everything that ends in its path, wasting water,
polluting the sea and rivers, killing the trees and over time man has been
increasing the damage he does to the planet land and does nothing to
stop what he does every day.

3. How you could perceive the solution from the artist?

Educate about the importance of environmental preservation, and
remember the importance of non-renewable natural resources that need
to be talked about because if they are depleted the planet does not
produce them again.

4. What could be the importance of an aesthetic environment

according with art and nature?
It is important that the vanities and luxuries of the great fashion, stop
chasing species that are endangered, eliminate animal species must be
a crime for those who attack them, the same for those who destroy
ecosystems .

Based on the last answers and the video, use the following order,
set out an essay in which you can expose a thesis where you
express your opinion according with the main topic of the video.

THE EXTINCTION OF THE HUMAN BEING

Most of the species that have existed in the planet earth have become
extinct, be already for annihilation, for asteroids, or because the human
being already finished with them. To be able to initiate, it is important to
remember the concept of extinction that refers to an event that happens
when a region or the whole planet experience changes or drastic
environmental alterations opposite to which the living beings do not
manage to adapt themselves to the above mentioned changes and end
up by dying.

At this point, I emphasize that human beings are killing large parts of the
habitable earth and this causes terrible suffering to many of the animals
that inhabit it, however, humans bring things to the planet that animals
are unable to Provide. According to research by the University of Oxford,
the document "Existential Risk as a Global Priority" states that of the
most important causes to highlight would be pandemics and natural
disasters can cause colossal and catastrophic loss of life, of course,
would not wipe out humanity as a whole, but they would generate a great
loss.
On the other hand, the risk of an asteroid falling to earth causing a large
explosion is really low, but it is not ruled out in its entirety, it also poses a
risk somewhat wars, but it was proven that in the twentieth century with
the two world wars it was not stop population growth, but if we were to
talk about a nuclear war, the destruction would be wider, but according to
the experts, individuals who would make the human species survive.

The Swedish philosopher Nick Bostrom, we have entered a new kind of

technological age with the potential to challenge our future like never
before. They are "threats on which we have no history of survival,"
claiming that experiments in areas such as synthetic biology,
nanotechnology and artificial intelligence are rushing into the territory of
the accidental and unforeseen, and that in this regard they are not we
have experience in controlling the consequences.

In my view, technology and science is a vital importance to future

governments who will have the great challenge of controlling and
restricting their misuse, because they are very likely to condemn or help
us.
In addition to the above, I believe that if the human being in his wrong
acting continues to ravage everything around him, at some point he will
stop having resources and inputs in order to survive that could end up
disappearing and that at the end of time it will not serve him at all to
populate planet earth.
