Service Announcement: Covid-19

Since this week, Governments around the world have started making
announcements around what a post-confinement “return to work” may look like.

These plans are much likely to vary significantly due to the differences in the Covid-
19 situations in various locations - as some plan to enter this return phase with high
levels of hospital capacity and widespread testing, while others are having
plateauing case counts.

At Velogic, our global teams are crafting operating practices around returning to
work, in compliance with the provisions and policies to be enforced and/or legislated
by the public bodies.

While we are adapting to possible demand rebounds due to the backlog created,
while ensuring workforce and customer safety, please find below an update of the
situation in the some of the territories we are present:

Mauritius

Further to a communiqué received from the Cargo Handling Corporation pertaining

to the Annual Substation Maintenance scheduled on May 01, 2020, no reception and
delivery of containers will be carried on this coming Friday. Moreover, there will be
no vessel operations on this particular day. Both container and vessel operations
shall resume on May 02, 2020 at 07:00 a.m.

On the airfreight side, with the easing of the lockdown in Mauritius planned as from
May 04, 2020, various airlines have announced about forthcoming cargo flights.

For inbound cargo, we presently have flight MK109 which is scheduled to depart
from CDG on May 02, 2020.

As far as export is concerned, available forthcoming flights are British Airways’

BA3584 flying to LHR and Air Mauritius’ MK108 to CDG. Both will depart on May 01,
2020.

In view of securing space on these flights, we recommend that traders urgently

reach out to us with shipment details since space is presently limited.

France

Following the Prime Minister’s speech yesterday, the lockdown will be ending on May
11, 2020, should the number of cases remain stable.

Based on the declaration, despite companies will be allowed to re-open, Work From
Home practices is highly recommended. It has also been announced that though
there will be no more special permits for moving around, movements of individuals
will be limited to a distance of 100km from the place of residence.
Public transportation will resume with social distancing measures. The same practice
will apply for the opening of shops. Schools will be re-opening on various schedules.
Coffee shops and restaurants will remain closed until June 02, 2020.

Our team expect to have some of the usual flow of goods within the next 15 days.
Presently, as shared in our previous updates, the team is on the move with the
import of masks by air and sea-air since the wearing of masks will be mandatory in
varied situations for the months to come.

India

Bangladesh

Chittagong Port has announced the waiving of container storage charges until May
04, 2020. Therefore, importers will not need to pay for storage fees while shipments
are being customs cleared by this date.

Moreover, all shipments which landed during the lockdown period will also be
considered under this waiver.

In addition, the national carrier, Biman Bangladesh Airlines (BG) has today extended
the suspension of all its international and domestic flight until May 15, 2020.
