Dear Sirs,
With reference to the letter issued by Acting IGP to Director General, BOI on 6th October 2020 (Ref:
STAFFDIG/IG/OUT/08/1369/2020) -Annex A, we hereby approve your request for the issuing of
curfew passes to selected employees/vehicles in order to operate as necessary. Relevant details are
attached in Annex B.
Please ensure that the company complies with all safety precautions recommended by Health
Authorities to effectively manage the Covid-19 threat under the supervision of PHI in the area
including random PCR testing as instructed by the Ministry of Health (Annex C).
1. Employees residing in curfew areas, should be travelling from their own homes.
2. However, curfew passes will be issued to employees who are residing at hostel facilities
provided/run by respective companies (100% dedicated to the company), under the
condition that they follow all the advice and precautionary methods such as not interacting
with people outside of the hostel facility and complying with the process of conducting
random PCR tests.
4. Employees meeting the above criteria must use dedicated transport as much as possible
when travelling from and to quarantine regions and should not mix with staff from
non-quarantined areas when travelling.

As per the directions given by the IGP, this letter can be used as a curfew pass.
All information provided is the responsibility of the enterprise and the enterprise must ensure that
the above criterion is adhered to at all times.

Dear Sir,
Our company Camso Loadstar Corporate Head office is located at No 218, Regents Court,
Minuwangoda Road, Ekala- Ja Ela.
We, Camso Loadstar are a BOI approved world leading specialist in designing, manufacturing and distribution of
off the road tires, wheels, rubber tracks and undercarriage systems to serve the Material Handling and
Construction industries. We operate 15 locations at Ekala and 03 locations at Midigama. All our factories in Ekala
and Midigama currently continue with their operation during the latest development of Covid-19 crisis.With the
ongoing global crisis, the demand of OHT Tires is rising to cater the global material handling operations in
medical and food industries in the world. Camso operation has been identified as a critical operation in Michelin
group being a key player in global Material Handling and Construction markets since 50% of global Material
handling Tires are produced in Sri Lanka and Camso Loadstar is a main manufacturer. Therefore, Michelin is
considering possible options to continue production of tires in Camso Loadstar facilities.

There is a need for 69 staff who live in remote areas to access the C
critical basis. A list of the names of the staff members with their details is attached and all these will be
temporarily accommodated at in-house boarding places. Everyone will be undergoing PCR tests before
on-boarding and all in-house boarding places will be managed according to the Guidelines on COVID-19
preparedness under the close supervision of respective area PHIs and Camso Loadstar.
The company undertakes to comply with all necessary health and safety measures according to the Guidelines
on COVID-19 preparedness for the workplace, issued by Directorate of Environmental Health, Occupational
Health and Food Safety and the Ministry of Health.
We undertake the responsibility to ensure that PHI will visit the factory on a regular basis to monitor adherence to
set protocols. We will also conduct mandatory temperature checks, and random PCR testing on employees
reporting to work as instructed by the Ministry of Health, in coordination with the Area MOH on a weekly basis
and will report results to both MOH and BOI. Further to this, any suspected contact/exposure of our employees
will be reported to the Area MOH, with copy to the BOI.
We further assure that we will not be including employees in quarantine areas for curfew pass requests, or
accommodate said employees within the workplace, until the advisories issued by the Ministry of Health, will
permit such activity.
We accept that action will be taken according to the available legal provisions against the company/staff/
employees/ persons concerned for the company any negligence or failure in adhering to the above Guidelines on
COVID 19.
