INTRODUCTION

Organization is a social group which distributes tasks for collective goals. There are
many type of organization in the world now and Management is the backbone of
every organization with which every individual or group problems are solved and
functions planning, organizing, controlling and staffing is done in proper manner for
the smooth functioning of the organization .

Hotels have long back history as men have. According to the British laws a
hotel is a place where a traveler can receive food and shelter provided he is in a
position to for it is in a fit condition to. Hotels have a very long history, but not as we
know today, way back in the 6 century BC when the first inn in and around the city of
London began to develop. The first catered to travelers and provided them with a mere
roof to stay under. This condition of the inns prevailed for a long time, until the
industrial revolution in England, which bought about new ideas and progress in the
business at inn keeping. The invention of the steam engine made travelling even more
prominent. Which had to more and more people travelling not only for business but
also for leisure reasons. This lead to the actual development of the hotel industries we
know it today. Hotel today not only cater to the basic needs of the guest like the food
and shelter provide much more than that, like personalized services etc. hotels today
are a “home away from home”.

A restaurant is a place where people can go to release tension after work with friends or to
relax with family. People increase in dining out since their life is in a hurry so they do not
have time for cooking. As the result, there are many restaurants such as Thai, Chinese,
Italian, Vietnam, and Japanese restaurants opened in a variety of places such as stand-alone,
hotels, and department stores to meet customer preferences.

This project report concentrates on identifying the customer satisfaction in


PARAGON RESTAURENT in Calicut.
