Caleb and Zenia dismounted the Hekatonkheires heavy gun walker, their rifles scanning around them as they approached
the wreck. The two LERP walkers also swept the landscape anxiously, the massive gauss autocannons on each arm sweep-
ing the terrain.
pl
“Looks like a Columbia,” stated Zenia. “Civvy tansport model. Mostly intact, windscreen busted in.” They continued to
run their scan from the top of the pile of dirt pushed up in front of the downed grav vehicle. “My guess is a sand storm,
and static generated from the storm fried their spindles.”

Caleb continued to scan the horizon, looking for threats to his partner. From on top of the Hekatonkheires, Jaxia pulled
themselves out of the hull, binocs held up and linked to the suit’s displays. They didn’t even hear the shot that killed them,
the hyper-velocity flechette punching through layers of composite ceramic armour before tumbling horrifically on reach-

ing the too-soft flesh within.

The two LERP walkers opened up with their coilguns in the general direction of the shot, ripping off the top of a nearby
dune, spraying dust and debris everywhere. Zenia fell to the next shot, and Caleb knew with a cold certainly that a third
would be coming his way very soon. As he started to dive for cover, the Hekatonkheires fired one of it’s massive railguns,
the blast almost knocking him over. The sniper’s probable position vanished into a plume of molten rock and steam, form-

ing a small mushroom cloud blossoming over the target area. It was like swatting a teraskitto with a sledgehammer.

While anti-gravity vehicles are high-end craft in Traveller, walkers are still found in a multitude of special-purpose rooles.
Some cultures never developed lift-spindle technology, developed it late, or developed in poorly, and so walkers fill a use-
ful niche.

The Broken Arm

The ten walker vehicles presented in this supplement are set in the Broken Arm universe, a high-tech setting with differ-
ent technological assumptions than the core Official Traveller Universe (OTU). However, while the description may vary
from the Traveller standard, the statistics and designs are fully compatible with any Traveller game.

Walker vehicles in the Broken Arm are typically powered by superconducting storage loops, though other methods of stor-
ing or generating power do exist. Some larger walkers also use fusion power plants, but that is rare.

Corporations
Over the millenia since the first ships went out from Old Earth, many different corporations have risen and fallen across
the 10,000 light year expanse of human space. Without adequate interstellar communications, multi-system corporations
cannot hold together long. Even close worlds can see compounded communications delays of up 8-10 years just to get a
reply to a message. Though large corporations do occur on many worlds, they lack the importance that corporations legen-
darily had on Old Earth.

e
With the expansion of jump ships from Tethys, larger interstellar corporations are starting to appear, many from Tethys
and nearby worlds. Examples include the heavy equipment manufacturer Terramor, the armament company MilArmCo,
Astradyne for computers and low-autonomous AIs, and a handful of others.
pl
In the process of expansion, some oddities have been discovered. There are a small handful of corporations that have
maintained their identity and culture over the span of thousands of years, and on worlds thousands of light years apart.
Each individual corporation appears to have a solitary existence, but each iteration is functionally identical across dozens
of worlds. Of these, Zarg Industries is the most widely-spread, with the corporation being present on nearly 10% of all
contacted worlds. The corporate culture and products of Zarg are nearly identical across these 200 systems.
m

Another example of these corporations is SpaceTran, now falling on hard times. SpaceTran was the preeminent builder of
ramships (actually Ram-Augmented Interstellar Rockets), preparing from almost the founding of a new colony to eventu-
ally send colonists out in some future Wave. SpaceTran has been encountered in 6% of newly-contacted systems.

Most corporations are only encountered in a single system. Even in small colonial clusters,
