I try and do this with
every lesson either with my own personal experiences that I share with the students or through theirs. For example when we were learning about saturated fat vs. unsaturated fat I had a very funny story of my younger sister who was reading the back of the food label for the first time and noticed how much saturated fat was in her milk carton and immediately thought that if she sat down while drinking this then she would get all that fat.
