 Christian Education Mission Happenings

We had so much fun at the Scavenger Hunt
last Sunday! We encourage more people to
try new things.
The Youth are gathering via zoom, and our
Easter Bible study, is a dozen strong, as we
are finding new ways to stay connected.
We’ll update everyone on Vacation Bible
School plans and adjustments as soon as we
have news.
We have been busy doing mission outreach even in
this time of isolation. We made and gave to Beth-El
Ministries 50 Easter Baskets with 2 books, candy
and small toys in each basket. We also gave them
candy and other items that were to be used at our
Easter Egg Hunt that didn’t happen. The minister
hand delivered the baskets to the children that attend
Beth-El church services.
We also made 20 Blessing Bags for those who
are currently without a home. Most have been
picked up. There are a few left and can be found on
the benches in the hallway. There is a great need
for these bags, as no homeless group is able to
congregate for feeding at this time. So please pick
up a bag and give it away while you are going to the
grocery store.

We also sent over 50 bras to the Save the Girls

Pay”, you are also able to give your tithe/offering
or donate by making a secure gift through our
website. Thank you for your faithful support!
Ministry. We will again collect bras new or gently
used to send in the month of June. So be on the
lookout for good deals. This ministry is a non-profit
started in Mozambique to create a way out for girls
locked into human trafficking. The bras are sold, and
the money is used to support a sustainable way of
life.
April’s mission was One Great Hour of Sharing.
The money raised will be used by The Presbytery
Disaster Assistance Program. It is currently
assisting Covid19 patients in our country and other
countries, as well as tornado victims in Tennessee,
Alabama and still supporting victims in Puerto Rico
from the last disaster. It isn’t too late to send a
check to our church marked “One Great Hour of
Sharing” or to the Presbytery.
Our mission emphasis for May is Pentecost
Offering. 40 % will stay in our community to assist
youth. This offering helps youth remain active in
church ministry.

Looking ahead… We will collect bras for Free The

FINANCE Girls in June and socks to Sock It To Beth-El in
AND July. We are hopeful that you will be able to bring

marked containers, otherwise will keep you posted.

FELLOWSHIP NEWS
Our church and community continues to follow the
safe distancing rules and regulations; therefore, we
have rescheduled and modified our 5th Sunday
Luncheon, which would have fallen on May 31st,
Day of Pentecost.
The OneBlood Mobile has been invited to be at
Presbyterian Church of Seffner on Sunday, June
7th, 9am-12:30 pm, and to continue celebrating the
Pentecost Season, the Fellowship committee will
provide a “Curbside Luncheon” for the blood donors,
workers and our congregation. A picnic style menu
will include sloppy joes, fresh corn on the cob,
baked beans, coleslaw and a delicious dessert.
Please be sure to contact the church either by
phone or email (pseffner@tampabay.rr.com) to
reserve your curbside pick-up meal, so we can have
an approximate amount of meals to prepare.
Donations will be accepted. Look for more
information on the website, Facebook and bulletins.
FELLOWSHIP HALL
REVITALIZATION
The fellowship hall floor is done; the lights
are up; the trim is being done now and
looking good. We are on schedule and
within $3000 of reaching our goal of
$130,000 for the Revitalization Campaign!

Summer is rapidly approaching and camp is just
around the corner! Another exciting summer of Tracy and Phil Messina 5/22
ministry is about to begin and we want to be part of
the fun! Camp programs offer a variety of activities
and adventures: swimming, archery, canoeing,
games, high ropes, climbing the rock wall, and THANK YOU….
forging new friendships. All of that, combined with
energetic worship and engaging Bible studies make Thanking Congregational Care and
