THE WALKING HOUSE

Imagine a home that can walk slowly around town on six legs. This amazing three
meter high house was the idea of a group of engineers from Denmark who worked with
engineers at MIT in Massachusetts, USA. The house has a living room, a kitchen, a
toilet, and a bed.

A computer controls the legs but there must always be three legs on the ground to
keep stable. The house does not travel very fast – about 160 meters an hour, but it can
walk on any kind of land and can escape floods. It´s very eco-friendly because it runs
on solar energy and wind energy. It also collects rain water for use in the kitchen while
a small wood-burning stove provides heat inside.

Do you need a change of scenery? Do you need to live closer to work? Do you want to
avoid your noisy neighbors?

Simple just take the house for a walk! How cool is that?
