TIME KEEPING

 In Payroll computation, this refers to the counting of the


number of hours or days eligible for payment of work
done.
 This includes clustering the hours as Regular, Overtime,
Night Differential and others.
 The very basic in time keeping and payroll computation
as a whole are the labor laws and the company policies
in place.

Sample Problem:
Assumptions:
1. The per hour rate of Employee A is P 200.
2. The employee has a 5 days work week, Monday to Friday
3. The work schedule is 8am to 12 noon, and 1 to 5 pm
4. Work beyond the above schedule are considered Overtime,
provided they are all approved.
5. Shortage on work hours are considered late or undertime
6. Employee A is paid twice a month for work beginning of the
month to 15th, and 16th to the end of the month.
7. Any deficiency in the time card records are considered “no
activity”.
8. The following are registered in the time card of Employee A
for the period January 1 to 15, 2020.(Use actual calendar as
basis for days)
