Introduction
To utilize this opportunity the trainee under went one month training in the well
established concern “ SRI RAMA WAX INDUSTRIES ”located at Sivakasi. They are
specialized in printing.
Institution Training is part of the course in which students has to undergone their
training in any one of the concern in which they can enable them to get some practical
experience in various fields such as production, marketing, finance and personal
management.

Commercial Printing
Security Printing has two parts: financial and non-financial. Intaglio printing
is used in Indian bank notes. Magnetic ink character recognition (MICR), water soluble
ink, micro letters and invisible ink are some of the security features used in cheques and
demand drafts. Personalized bills and prepaid scratch cards in mobile phones provide the
market for security printing in the telecom sector. Education and transportation sector
uses security printing for example in examination question papers, mark sheets and
certificates, tickets and smart cards for citizens ID. The Indian industry is trying to adopt
RFID (radio frequency identification) in the shipping, defense, aircraft, pharmaceuticals,
automotive and information technology

RCHASE OF RAW MATERIALS
Purchase Requisition
They purchase the raw materials by way of borrowing loan from banks. They
store the raw materials godown.
Quotation System
They purchase the required material from different suppliers. There are 15
suppliers, Who are ready to supply the raw materials to this concern. They supplied the
materials at the lowest cost.
While ordering goods for purchase they consider the quality and quality of
materials. They also supplied the goods at the stipulated time.

Procedure of the purchase
The company purchase raw materials mostly from local dealers.
Store Procedure
The Store keeper is takes in change for stock room. They received the goods by
way of preparing. GRS (Goods Received Slip). It is the record of the stock room.
RSN (Requisition Slip Note) is handed by the store keeper. They issue the
materials on the required department on the bares of their requisition.
PRODUCTION PROCESS
What is Production?
The term production mainly involves transformation of inputs in to outputs
keeping in view with overall objectives of business unit. Production management is
concerned with planning, organizing, directing and controlling of production system. So
as to produce goods at desired quality of minimum cost and right time. The production is
mainly concerned with the conversion of input in to output for safe.

In SRI RAMA WAX INDUSTRIES, they following two steps to make production.

1. Before Printing
Before carrying out the printing process. They went to make process.
They are

b) Film Making
c) Plate Making
2. After Printing
After printing work is over , they continue their process with the following
successive works.
a) Lamination
b) Scoring
c) Packing
BEFORE PRINTING
Designing
The designing work is carried out by the computer operator. They carry out the
designing work according to the specification made by the customer.

Film Making
After completion of the designing work, he original matter is taken to film making
area. Then the matter is to be placed at the center of the frame. Then the film is placed at
top of the vacuum board. A heavy light is focused on the original matter and the film gets
exposed. Then we get the impressions on the film.
Plate Making
Then they place the film at the center of the frame. Also place the plate on the
order board and then close frame. Then they set the time for machine ranged between 30
to 40 seconds. Then by exposing light on the film, automatically the plate gets exposed.
Then the image on the film is transferred to the plate easily.

Wipe on plate is called as aluminum plate. This wipe on plate have no chemical
coating. They are reusable on granting.
P.S. Plate
PS Plate ate called Pre-sensitive. Both positive and negative film is used PS-Plate.
Matters imposed on it are of permanent nature they can be reused. Plate of this kind helps
to get quality printing.

This raw material is used to laminate the matter. The Printed matter are fed one by
are along with the core paper. The fericol tank is attached at the center of the machine
.The fericol spreds on the printed matter slowly.
Cutting
After lamination, the laminated matters are going to process. Through which are
can cut the material according to the size.
Scoring Machine

Scoring machine is used to score the materials is the prescribed size.

The next section is packing section. The goods packing are placed on the packing
machine. The machine are used on the insulation tape and card board sheets are fixed it

The packing machine helps the customer for the safe removal of goods with out damage.

The company provides credit to their regular customers, who settle their amount
then and there promptly. Normally the concern provides 30 days of credit facility to their
customers.
Pricing Method
The company follows a cost plus pricing method. This is made on the basis of
cost of production plus an additional margin of profit.
selling price is equal to the cost of production plus anticipated profit, it is known
as “Cost Plus” pricing method.
Cash Discount
It is a deduction given to the customer by the manager for settling the bill amount
for particular time. They issue the invoice at the time of payment.

Customer Complaints
The managing director has close relationship with customers. They accept the
complaints from the customer. In the production department, separate files is maintained
for the complaint (i.e) “COMPLANT FILE”. In this file, complaints are recorded by the
production manager.
Period of credit
The company provides credit facility to their customers. It provides credit to well
known persons only. Normally they provides 30 days of credit facility to their customers.

This company pays income tax, sales tax and maintain proper accounts with the
help of chartered accountants.
Sales Turnover
Sales turnover for this concern is Rs. 15 lakhs for the year 2014-2015.
Net Profit
Net Profit for this concern in the year 2013-2015 is 4.5 lakhs.
They receive the orders through phone. If they receive the orders for printing,
they record the matters through the phone order form.

Introduction
Finance is the life blood of the industrial units. The sources of finance include the
own funds, borrowing from friend and relatives loan from private lenders, hire purchase
etc…
Most of the business failures are due to storage of money. Dun and brad street
statistics, gathered, over the year on business failures show that the most frequent cause is
poor financial management. Without adequate finance no business can survive; with out
Sound financial management no business can prosper and grow.

The working capital is Rs. 30,00,000/- It is required for the payment of wages,
salary, interest, maintenance charges and factory expenses.
Credit Management
They are following strict credit policy. He follows the credit facilities only to the
Regular customers.
Transport Cost
The amount may be spent by the company to meet the customers and this has
to be included along with the product price.

The personal manager should know the needs and problems of employees.
Payment of Wages
In this concern, the payment of wages is standard and reasonable for the workers.
Daily wages Rs.175/- to Rs.200/- is paid to the workers. DA, ESI and PF are
given to the workers for benefits.
Increment
This increment is given, based on the productivity of the workers. This concern is
providing 10% of increment to ten workers every year.

In this concern, the ESI charges are 8.33% on the basic wages of the workers.
PF (Provident Fund)
The objectives of the act is to make the employee to save a portion of his earnings
for their future. The wages of the workmen should not exceed Rs.3500/- per month in
order to claim benefit under this act.
Leaves
The Workers are offered casual leave of 30 days in a year. The office staff
members are allowed to take leave with prior permission from the company.
Working Hours
In this concern, working hour is from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The normal shift is 8 hours are
calculated as Extra Time (i.e.,) overtime.

printing and also analysis the quality to control the supervisor to take suitable steps to

Wastage like defective printing Papers and oils are selling to their outsiders on the
basis weight of and they get wastage up to 2 % per day.

The Layout process is a dynamic utility. There fore, the layout of every office

work load of the owner can be reduced.
